The area of interest also covers the application of the state-of-the-art dynamic response modification devices, sophisticated high performance structures.
On this tour, you will be able to hear from stuffs at Structural dynamics laboratory and get a guided tour of its experimental laboratory.
Founded in Kyoto, Japan, Yushin Company is an industrial automation manufacturer specializing in take-out robots for plastic injection molding machines. We lead the world in take-out robot technology, and have built a reputation for delivering reliable and cost-effective leading innovative technologies to our customers. A focus on raising robot operational speeds enables customers to take productivity to higher levels, while features such as user-friendly control interfaces ease the robot operator's job-one embodiment of our "Heartful Technology". A collaboration with Kyoto University to apply design optimization methods to our products resulted in significant decreases in robot weight, allowing higher operational speeds or lower energy consumption, while advancing our drive to improve product eco-friendliness. By utilizing these technologies, we have recently expanded our field of application to palletizing robots as well. Enjoy the tour of our showroom where you can see the actual operation of our robots.

Kyoto Prefectural University has two campuses. One is located in Seika Town in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture and is surrounded by rich nature. There is a large field where grains, vegetables and fruits are grown and cutting-edge research and student training are conducted. Fields and laboratories are adjacent to each other, allowing us to be directly linked to the field of crop growth and molecular biology. Adjacent to the Kyoto Prefectural Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Technology Center, we are also conducting research on agricultural issues in Kyoto Prefecture. We plan to give lectures by two university professors and take a walk in our large field.
The Suntory Group is a comprehensive food and beverage company specializing in beverages, food products, alcoholic beverages, and health foods. Since its founding in 1899, the company has continuously pursued the creation of new value through the promotion of research and development, driven by the belief that strengthening the R&D division is essential for the group's sustainable growth and development.
In 1919, the founder Shinjiro Torii established a product testing laboratory in 1919 that was a research institute under the president’s direct control, which marked the beginning of Suntory’s commitment to enhancing its research and development bases. In 2015, the company established the Suntory World Research Center, consolidating the previously dispersed functions of basic research and technological development functions of the Suntory Group. At this research center, Suntory engages in cutting-edge research in areas such pursuing superior flavor and taste, health, botany, water science, and sustainability.
During this tour, you will be showm around the facilities and our researchers will explain our efforts in researching and developing skincare products, as well as our water research.
The Universal Communication Research Institute of National Institute of Information and Communications Technology is engaged in the construction of AI research infrastructure as well as the R&D and social implementation of three core technologies (multilingual communication technology, social knowledge communication technology, and smart data utilization platform technology) that utilize the infrastructure. We will introduce practical multilingual communication technologies designed to support smooth communication in domestic transportation, shopping complexes, tourist spots, and medical facilities.
RITE was established in 1990 as a center of excellence which would work internationally for mitigating global warming for focusing on the following two measures:
Developing innovative environmental technologies
Enhancing CO2 sinks
RITE is addressing research and development of new technologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in collaboration with industry, government, and academic institutions around the world.
We plan to give general introduction and research introduction from researchers. In addition to the lecture, students will be able to tour RITE’s Laboratory and observe the latest research equipment.
